For this reason, every two weeks, HSF publishes a tracker of ESG-related publications and developments, with a primary focus on developments that may be of most interest to or impact our clients in Spain, be they corporates, asset managers or asset owners.

Key updates covered in this edition include:

  • the European Union’s package of European Green Deal Proposals which aim to make goods in the EU market more environmentally friendly circular and energy-efficient and encourage the development of a larger circular economy within the EU;
  • the International Sustainability Standards Board’s launch of a consultation on its proposed standards regarding general sustainability disclosure requirements and climate-related disclosures for companies; and
  • the Spanish Parliament has published Law 7/2022, on waste and contaminated soils for a circular economy
