Through Resolution 10/2026, the Ministry of Economy declared the initiation of an antidumping investigation concerning imports into Argentina of “washing machines with a unit capacity expressed as dry laundry weight of 13 kilograms or less, excluding machines with heat-drying systems and those designed to operate with coin mechanisms”, originating in the People’s Republic of China.
These products are classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Codes (NCM) 8450.11.00, 8450.12.00, 8450.19.00 and 8450.20.20.
The investigation was requested by DREAN S.A. The Argentine Foreign Trade Commission (CNCE) found evidence of dumping and a threat of injury to the domestic industry, as well as a causal link between them, based on the significant increase in the investigated imports at prices below domestic products, the performance of volume and profitability indicators, inventory accumulation, and the export capacity of the investigated origin.
As a result, the Ministry of Economy resolved to initiate the antidumping investigation.
The investigation will cover the period October 2024 to September 2025 for dumping analysis and January 2022 to September 2025 for injury determination.
