Lorna Cuthbertson Tardif holds an MBA, is a registered professional engineer and is a Partner at HKA Global (Canada), Inc. and has over 35 years of experience in expert testimony, claims consultancy, dispute resolution and project advisory services across the construction industry.
Lorna has worked on projects valued in the billions of dollars assisting owners and contractors find the best path forward when faced with challenging technical and commercial issues during the execution of the project. She has been retained as an independent expert on more than 200 occasions by owners, contractors, design professionals, and financial institutions. She has given expert witness testimony before courts and arbitration panels across Canada and in the USA on disputes valued up to several hundred million dollars.
Lorna is fully bilingual (English and French), is a member of The Academy of Experts and is recognized by WWL as a leading expert in arbitration. She is a frequent speaker at industry events in Canada and the US, including with the Canadian Institute, Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, the Construction Superconference, and Groundbreaking Women in Construction. Her areas of expertise include delay analysis, productivity analysis and quantification of damage, primarily on energy, infrastructure and large industrial projects.
