Dr Manuel Arroyo is a Swiss-based partner of Eversheds Sutherland Ltd., the only global law firm with offices in four Swiss cities, including the key venues for international arbitration Geneva and Zurich.
Manuel is a full-time arbitration practitioner and has acted in some 150 international commercial arbitrations as counsel or arbitrator. His areas of specialisation include construction, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, sales, transport, infrastructure, engineering, agency, and distribution.
A former law clerk to the Swiss Federal Supreme Court, where he was involved in 124 commercial cases, he also regularly represents parties before the Supreme Court in setting aside proceedings.
Manuel is the sole editor and co-author of the most comprehensive treatise on arbitration in Switzerland (Arbitration in Switzerland – The Practitioner's Guide, 2'957 pages, 2nd ed., Kluwer, 2018) and the author of 50 further publications. He has spoken at over 30 international arbitration conferences.
