Dr. Johannes Dittrich is a Director at CRA’s European Antitrust and Competition Practice, based in CRA’s Munich office. He advises clients in antitrust, damages, and abuse of dominance cases.
He has significant experience in all aspects of competition and antitrust matters, having worked on cases before the European Commission, national competition authorities, and national courts. His focus is on the empirical analysis of competition law issues, particularly through the application of econometric techniques.
He has extensive experience in quantifying cartel effects in follow-on damages litigation proceedings across multiple industries including car parts, beer, coffee, and consumer products. Most recently, he has provided economic advice to a leading truck manufacturer in all stages of litigation in German proceedings.
In recent years, his work has increasingly concentrated on the tech industry, where he has advised major tech firms on a wide range of significant cases related to their market position and role in digital services.
He is also experienced in merger review proceedings as well as abuse of dominance and excessive pricing cases, having advised clients in industries spanning automotive, pharma, transportation, digital platforms, and retail.
