Greg Thaler is a forensic accountant with 25 years of experience quantifying lost earnings and economic damages in litigation matters and preparing large, complex property and business interruption insurance claims. He serves as the global leader of BRG’s business insurance claims practice.
On litigation matters, Mr Thaler has calculated economic damages in matters involving breach of contract, product defects, construction, wage and hour, real estate, environmental pollution, business interruption, fraud, intellectual property, and other issues. He has testified in trials and depositions, including two high-profile cases, in each of which he quantified over US$900 million in damages.
On insurance claims matters, Mr Thaler has quantified billions of dollars in property and business interruption claims on behalf of clients, including claims resulting from fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, typhoons, acts of terrorism and other catastrophes. He has also prepared large cyber-crime/data breach, builder’s risk, product recall, and product liability claims. He has prepared claims on behalf of clients for incidents around the world, including losses in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Brazil, Angola, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada and the Caribbean.
