His diverse background spans process engineering design, research and development, field services, technical service, commissioning, operations management, planning, and economics. Gary's expertise covers a broad spectrum of key refining and petrochemical processes.
Gary has managed commissioning, operations, logistics, and economics teams and departments for the two largest U.S. refiners. His economics and planning experience includes auditing, developing, and applying refinery Linear Program models. He was Operations Manager for a multi billion dollar operating complex that included utility steam generation, wastewater treatment, hydrogen production, and high-severity hydrotreating and hydrocracking units.
Since joining Baker & O’Brien, Gary has been involved in advisory consulting work, including market analyses, strategic planning, and technology due diligence. He has acted as an Independent Engineer for investors involved in a multi-billion-dollar grass-roots refining and petrochemical facility.
