Christoph Lang is chair of Pestalozzi and heads Pestalozzi’s corporate/M&A group in Zurich. His preferred practice areas are corporate law, with a particular focus on corporate governance and M&A; Swiss and European antitrust law; and insurance law. He represents major Swiss and multinational corporations in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and joint ventures, and frequently advises clients on policy and governance issues.
Christoph Lang regularly publishes in his fields of expertise. He is a member of the Zurich, Swiss and International Bar Associations, and the Association of German-speaking Lawyers; he is also the winner of the 2013 ILO Client Choice Award for M&A in Switzerland. Christoph Lang is recommended in his fields of expertise by various leading legal directories, including Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500 and WWL.
Christoph Lang studied law at the University of Berne (Dr iur, summa cum laude, 1999) and Columbia University School of Law (LLM, Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, 2000). He was admitted to the bar in 1997. Before joining Pestalozzi in 2000, he was a teaching and research assistant for two years in the University of Berne’s corporate and commercial law department.
