Ashley is an acknowledged expert in asset recovery, global investigations and dispute support with a particular focus on conflicts involving governments.
Ashley began her career at a private intelligence firm where she worked closely with government agencies and ministries on large scale recovery initiatives and sensitive international disputes. She later joined a London headquartered corporate investigations firm where she led the Dispute Consulting team and founded the company’s Sovereign Debt Advisory division. In 2022, her and her partners sold their company to a NYC headquarter global consulting firm where Ashley led the asset tracing and sovereign enforcement practice before founding Veleda.
Over the past 15 years she has advised business leaders, law firms, corporate counsel and investors on hostile situations, complex commercial disputes and multi-jurisdictional enforcement matters. She has led a number of high-profile investigations and asset recovery assignments involving counterparties in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East and helped secure over USD 2 billion in settlements and recovered funds.
