Mariia is the Deputy Director of Arbitration and ADR for Europe and Central Asia at the International Chamber of Commerce, based in Paris.
Trained in both civil and common law systems (Ukraine and Australia), Mariia brings a truly international perspective and a breadth of experience across multiple sectors and jurisdictions, combining experience in state institutions and private practice. In addition to English, her working languages include Ukrainian, German and Russian.
Mariia is an ICC YAAF Representative for South Asia for the 2024-2026 mandate, being one of only two Australians to hold this position. She is also a member of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association. Her contributions to the legal profession have been widely recognised: she was named Rising Star of the Year at the 2025 Legal Leaders Awards and was a finalist in the Rising Star – Large Law Firm category at the 2024 Women & Diversity in Law Awards.
