Dana MacGrath is an independent arbitrator with more than two decades of experience in international arbitration as an arbitrator, arbitration practitioner, and in-house counsel. She has served as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chair in multiple arbitrations. She joined Arbitra International in August 2022.
Prior to becoming a full-time arbitrator, she was an arbitration practitioner at Sidley Austin, Allen & Overy and O’Melveny & Myers, and an investment manager and in-house counsel at Omni Bridgeway. Dana’s arbitrations have involved a variety of industries, among them oil and gas, LNG, energy, construction, finance, telecommunications, intellectual property, sale of goods, and international investments. She has represented parties regarding the enforceability of arbitration agreements and awards under the New York Convention.
Dana is on the AAA-ICDR Council and co-chairs the AAA Large Complex Case Committee. Previously she served as co-chair of the CPR Institute’s Arbitration Rules Revision Committee, chair of the New York City Bar Arbitration Committee, and on several ICC Commission on Arbitration task forces.
