Carlos González-Bueno is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, a Spanish State Attorney (on leave) and a Fellow of the CIArb.
He has held important positions within the Spanish Government. He has been Director of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, Undersecretary of State at the Industry and Energy Ministry and Undersecretary of State at the Science and Technology Ministry. During his years in the Spanish Government, Carlos specialized in sectors such as administrative law, intellectual property, construction and engineering, renewable energies, oil & gas and environment.
He became founding partner at González-Bueno, SLP in 2004.
He regularly acts as arbitrator and counsel in proceedings before the main arbitration courts, inter alia, ICC, ICDR, AAA, SNA-OSCE, CIAM-CIAR, CAM, CEA and CIMA.
During these years he has acted as arbitrator in seats such as Dubai International Financial Centre, Rio de Janeiro, Bogotá, Berlin, Lima, Ciudad de Mexico, Santo Domingo, Washington, Madrid, London and Paris and has applied, inter alia, the laws of Ras Al Khaimah, Colombia, Germany, France, Spain, Germany, Peru, Mexico, Dominican Republic, State of Washington and Brazil.
