Joel Franks is a Managing Director in the Economic & Financial Consulting practice of FTI Consulting and is based in London. Joel has more than 17 years of experience in economic and financial analysis, accounting and auditing.
Joel provides financial advice in the context of international arbitration and domestic litigation. Typically, his work involves the quantification of lost profits, assessments of wasted costs, business valuations or advice relating to accounting matters. He has worked across a range of industries, including renewable energy, oil and gas, IT, sports, telecommunications and retail.
Joel has worked on matters before the High Court of Justice, as well as LCIA, ICC, ICSID, SCC and UNCITRAL tribunals. He has been appointed as an expert witness before the High Court and an ICSID tribunal, and has testified before an ICSID tribunal.
Joel is a chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Joel worked in the Financial Services Audit practice of a Big Four accounting firm.
Joel joined FTI Consulting in March 2012, having moved from the Financial Services Audit practice of a Big 4 accounting firm.
