Ben Johnson

Ben Johnson is a chartered accountant and a Senior Managing Director in the Economic and Financial Consulting practice. He has been based in Hong Kong since 2015.

Ben provides expert financial advice in contentious and non-contentious contexts, including as an expert witness in international arbitration and litigation matters, as an expert determiner, and as an advisor in transactions and regulatory matters. His experience includes valuations of assets and businesses, the quantification of lost profits, advice relating to accounting matters, and advice in the context of competition investigations.

Ben has been appointed as an expert witness in numerous litigation and arbitration matters. His experience covers various industries, including technology, real estate, financial services, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, steel, retail, energy, hospitality, infrastructure, and telecoms. Over the course of his career, Ben has prepared or assisted with the preparation of more than 100 expert reports across some 70 matters, for submission to Hong Kong, Singapore, UK, US, Irish, Indian and Cayman Islands courts, as well as in arbitrations under ICC, HKIAC, CIETAC, SIAC, DIFC-LCIA, AAA, UNCITRAL and CRCICA rules.
