On November 4, 2011, the Colorado Division of Labor will hold a public hearing on a proposal to increase the Colorado minimum wage to $7.64hour, effective January 1, 2012. The hearing is a formality, as the Colorado Constitution, Article XVIII, Section 15 requires that the minimum wage periodically be adjusted (up or down), based on changes in the cost of living.
