In Akzo Nobel Chemicals Limited and Akcros Chemicals Limited v Commission of the European Communities, the European Court of Justice (the "ECJ") considered whether emails exchanged between a company's manager and its in-house lawyer were covered by legal professional privilege ("LPP").
