This guide will assist in-house counsel, private practice lawyers, risk and compliance teams and others understand who regulates the financial services sector in the UK and how they do it.The guide is an introduction to the key financial services regulators including the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Plans are now underway to reshape the UK financial services regulatory framework, and in section 5 there is an overview of the new proposals which include enhanced rule-making powers and a new secondary growth and international competitiveness objective for the regulators.
