On May 24, 2019, the Michigan Senate and House of Representatives voted 34-4 and 94-15, respectively, to approve a 120-page bill (House Substitute for Senate Bill No. 1) that overhauls the decades-old Michigan No-Fault Act. Governor Gretchen Whitmer has pledged to sign the bill and is expected to sign it at the Mackinac Policy Conference that begins on May 29, 2019.
