The UK Supreme Court has set aside 5 – 8 December 2016 to hear the Government’s appeal against last week’s High Court ruling that Article 50 cannot be invoked without reference to Parliament.

Permission to appeal was granted by a panel of three Justices (Lord Neuberger, Lord Mance and Lord Kerr). All eleven Justices will sit on the panel considering the Government’s appeal, which will be chaired by Lord Neuberger, President of the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court noted that judgement will be reserved at the conclusion of the hearing, and will likely follow in the New Year.
