McKeeva Bush (Bush), former premier of the Cayman Islands has been charged by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service with five counts of theft, four counts of breach of trust and two counts of misconduct in public office; and will appear in the British Caribbean territory's Grand Court in April.

In December 2012, Bush was ousted in a parliamentary vote of no-confidence after being arrested on suspicion of corruption, including misusing a government credit card.

First elected as a politician in 1984, Bush remains leader of the splintered United Democratic Party and has said he intends to defend the charges which involve a number of foreign jurisdictions.
