The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (“OCC”) will host two workshops in Newton, Massachusetts on November 18-19, 2014 for directors of national community banks and federal savings associations. The Compliance Risk and Credit Risk: A Director’s Focus workshops are designed exclusively for directors of institutions supervised by the OCC. The Compliance Risk workshop focuses on major compliance risks and consumer protection regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act, the Truth in Lending Act, and the Community Reinvestment Act, along with key elements of an effective compliance risk management program. OCC Publishes “Insights” Newsletter
On October 16th, the OCC published the latest edition of its Insights report, titled “Community Development Loan Funds: Partnership Opportunities for Bank.” The newsletter describes how national banks and federal savings associations can partner with Community Development Loan Funds to better reach low- and moderate-income and underserved populations.
