The U.S. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement (ICE) arrested 18 foreign nationals in Loveland, Colorado following an administrative search warrant that ICE agents executed at a concrete plant. The arrests occurred on July 16, 2008 at Colorado Precast Concrete Inc., a concrete manufacturing plant, located at 1820 E. Highway 402. Criminal charges are not expected to be filed against Colorado Precast Concrete Inc. The company fully cooperated with the investigation. The eighteen men were charged with being in the United States illegally. Of the eighteen men arrested, one is from El Salvador, and the rest are from Mexico. This raid is similar to the ones conducted by ICE in the recent past. ICE has had a tenfold increase in enforcement actions within the last five years.
