Updated versions of the standard NHS contract terms for the purchase of goods and (non-clinical) services are now available on the Department of Health’s website. The updated documents are available for use by any NHS organisations for purchasing goods or services. They are based on the versions previously available from the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA).

It should be noted that the contract for the supply of services is not suitable for use in relation to clinical services, which are covered by a range of other standard NHS contract terms.

Unlike the NHS standard contracts for clinical services, these terms are not mandatory and this means they can be tailored to fit specific requirements.

There is also a template framework agreement which can be completed, or again adapted to meet specific requirements.
