UK IPO publishes practice amendment notice to update the trade marks examination guide

Following a decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys v Registrar of Trade Marks, Case C-307/10 and the Appointed Person’s decision in implementing the decision, the UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has published a practice amendment notice in relation to assessing class headings and the general indications of Class headings.
