That was fast.
According to March 5 press reports, IBM and its former Chief Diversity Officer, Lindsay-Rae McIntyre, have agreed to a settlement of their dispute. As I reported last week, IBM sued Ms. McIntyre, who had resigned from IBM to go to work for Microsoft, for allegedly violating her non-compete and misappropriating IBM's trade secrets and confidential information.
Apparently, the parties have decided to move on, with each bearing its own attorneys’ fees and costs. Ms. McIntyre will be permitted to start work as Microsoft's Chief Diversity Officer in July 2018. Microsoft has indicated that it is “pleased” the matter is resolved and “thrilled” that Ms. McIntyre is joining the company.
