We have just been informed that the Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore (“ASAS”) is seeking feedback from industry stakeholders and the public about the implementation of the Guidelines on Interactive Marketing Communication & Social Media (“Social Media Guidelines”).
As you know, the Social Media Guidelines were introduced on 29 August 2016, and since then, social media platforms have also made changes to facilitate disclosures of sponsorship, amongst others. ASAS is considering fine-tuning the Social Media Guidelines and/or guidance notes related to the Social Media Guidelines, and would like to understand your experience with complying with the Social Media Guidelines.
