The National Futures Association proposed a number of rule changes in connection with the overhaul of its online individual registration system (click here for background). Among these changes is the elimination of the current authorization for principals of registrants not acting as associated persons who have taken and passed a proficiency examination (i.e., Series 3 or 30) not to have to retake the examination if they become reassociated with a registrant within two years of ceasing to be a principal. Also, the Series 3-R Form used to reflect changes to individuals’ Form 8-R information will be eliminated.
