The sale of certain trademarks of the Fagor group has been authorized in the common phase.
Through a ruling of San Sebastian Commercial Court No. 1, dated April 11, 2014, the sale of certain trademarks of the Fagor group was authorized to a company held by the Cevital group. The judge upheld the appeal for reversal filed by the potential acquirer of the trademarks, compared to his previous ruling that had rejected the sale as it did not agree with the price offered by the sole bidder.
Under the appeal, the judge finally authorized the sale in the common phase in line with article 43.2 of the Insolvency Act. To establish the value of the trademarks, the judge considered the insolvency administration’s provisional report and finally agreed to the price initially offered by the bidder.
