On September 30th, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority filed with the SEC a proposal that would require alternative trading systems ("ATS") to report to FINRA weekly volume information and number of trades regarding securities transactions within the ATS and require each ATS to acquire and use a single, unique market participant identifier when reporting information to FINRA.
