The FCA has updated its website on the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) to highlight passporting arrangements. It states that UK firms should be able to exercise passporting rights in all EEA states with the exception of Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. Passporting rights into these jurisdictions will be possible once the EEA Agreement, to which these three countries are signatories, has been updated to include the AIFMD within its scope.
