SuZhou Adjusts Local Minimum Wage Standard for 2013, with an Increase of 11.7% to 13%

Suzhou recently announced the adjustment of the local minimum wage standard for 2013. The minimum monthly salaries for urban areas of Suzhou, Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Taichang, Kunshan and Wujiang District are increased from RMB 1370 to RMB 1530 (with an increase of 11.7% over the previous year); the minimum hourly wages would be decided in accordance with those in first-tier areas of Jiangsu Province and adjusted from the original RMB 11.5 to RMB 13 (with an increase of 13% over the previous year).

Meanwhile, the remuneration a company pays to an intern for in-post practice or a student who takes a part-time job while studying at college shall be based on hourly rate and shall not be lower than the local hourly minimum wage for part-time employment.

Chengdu Adjusts Local Minimum Wage Standard for 2013, with an Increase of 11% to 14.5%

Chengdu recently announced the adjustment of the local minimum wage standard for 2013. The minimum monthly salaries for Jinjiang District, Qingyang District, Jinniu District, Wuhou District, Chenghua District, Chengdu High-tech Development Zone, Longquanyi District, Qingbaijiang District, Xindu District, Wenjiang District, Dujiangyan City, Shuangliu County, Pi County and Xinjin County are RMB 1200 (RMB 55.2 per day), with an increase of 14.3% over the previous year; the minimum hourly wages are RMB 12.6, with an increase of 14.5% over the previous year.  

The minimum monthly salaries for Pengzhou City, Qionglai City, Jintang County, Dayi County and Pujiang County are RMB 1070(RMB 49.2 per day), with an increase of 11.5% over the previous year; the minimum hourly wages are RMB 12.6, with an increase of 11% over the previous year.

The minimum wage standard shall be carried out as of July 1, 2013, and the validity period is three years.

Wuxi Adjusts Local Minimum Wage Standard for 2013, with an Increase of 12.1% to 13%

Wuxi recently announced the adjustment of the local minimum wage standard for 2013.The minimum monthly salaries for urban areas of Wuxi, Jiangyin City and Yixing City would be decided in accordance with those in first-tire areas of Jiangsu Province and adjusted from RMB 1320 to RMB 1480, with an increase of 12.1% over the previous year; the minimum hourly wages are increased from RMB 11.5 to RMB 13, with an increase of 13% over the previous year.
