A male Madonna impersonator on Britain's Got Talent has brought an unfair dismissal and discrimination claim on the grounds of age, sex, disability and sexual orientation. Philip Grimmer, who auditioned and reached the semi-finals of the show, is arguing that his audition was the equivalent of a job interview. He is claiming £250,000 compensation for lost earnings and injury to feelings.
The case follows a similar claim by Emma Amelia Pearl Czikai, another BGT contestant, earlier this year.
It remains to be seen whether this unusual case will proceed to a tribunal hearing!
