The Russian Investigation Committee has announced that an officer of "ServisAtomTrans" LLC was detained on 25 October 2012 on suspicion of giving a commercial bribe. According to the investigators, he unlawfully transferred RUB 7,300,000 (about USD 230,000) to one of his associates in another company, "Siberian Chemical Plant" OJSC. "ServisAtomTrans" LLC is currently supplying coal for the needs of this plant. The bribe was given to assure the commercial interests of the company.

According to the earlier announcement, similar instances in relation to other suppliers of the plant are currently under investigation as well. The Criminal Code of Russia provides for up to 6 years of imprisonment for a person convicted of giving a bribe and 12 years for a person receiving a bribe.
