With effect from today, the National Bank of Ukraine (the NBU) cancelled recently imposed restriction on lending of foreign currency to be used within Ukrainian domestic market.
As reported earlier, on 29 August 2014 the NBU prohibited banks to provide legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and permanent establishments of non-resident legal entities with foreign currency loans to be used within the domestic market (except loans in foreign currency granted for payment under foreign economic obligations).
The NBU cancelled the aforementioned restrictions by the Resolution of National Bank of Ukraine dated 9 September 2014 No. 557 'On introduction of changes to the Resolution of National Bank of Ukraine dated 20 August 2014 No. 515'.
