In early 2009 the Financial Services Authority conducted a new assessment of sample documents – Key Feature Documents which are documents that must be given to a consumer before they purchase a packaged product. Packaged products include life investment and personal pension products. The annex contains an update on the progress that has been made by firms in improving the effectiveness of their Key Features Documents and Simplified Prospectuses. It also looks at some common themes that hold back the progress of some firms and gives other examples of good and poor practice.
