On July 25th, Reuters reported a federal district court has approved the SEC's proposed Foreign Corrupt Practices Act settlement with IBM. The approval was given after IBM agreed to report to the court for two years on its anti-fraud and anti-corruption efforts. Reuters quotes U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon as telling IBM, "If there's a problem in the next two years, obviously it won't be a day like today, it won't be a happy day." Cautionary Settlement.
