In June 2008, the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) published a report on issues relating to the valuation of complex and illiquid instruments. In this report CEBS announced that it would carefully monitor how accounting and auditing standard setters and institutions address these issues and that it would reassess developments in this area at a later date.

CEBS has now published a note which provides a discussion of the measures and developments it has observed since the publication of the June 2008 report.
