On 8 April 2014, the Senior Minister of State for Law, Ms Indranee Rajah, announced that S$100 million of funds will be made available for debt financing in the next few years under the IPOS Intellectual Property Financing Scheme. Starting from late second quarter of 2014, eligible Singapore incorporated companies may apply through selected participating financial institutions to use their granted patents as collaterals in loan transactions. The loan will be risk-shared with the Singapore Government.
