A group of governors and leaders from 30 states and territories have formed the Governors’ Climate Coalition. The goal of the coalition is to work with Congress towards finding a “common ground for a comprehensive national energy strategy and climate change action,” according to the press release. The bipartisan group of governors hopes to have an impact on the development of legislation in both the House and Senate. The group consists of governors from 27 states and the leaders of Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
