Movie, Game, DVD – It’s All the Same Mailing Price
The Postal Service sought review of orders by the Postal Regulatory Commission implementing the D.C. Circuit Court’s prior mandate in GameFly, Inc. v. Postal Regulatory Commission. In that case, the Court had remanded to the Commission a case dealing with the disparity in mailing prices for DVDs sent by NetFlix and gaming discs sent by GameFly. The Court affirmed the Commission’s new rule which equalizes the cost of first class letter and flat DVD rates, enabling GameFly, Netflix or any other DVD mailer, to use either service at the same cost.
