On October 26th, the CFTC voted to propose for comment amendments regarding the investment of customer segregated funds. The amendments include certain changes to the list of permitted investments; clarification of the liquidity requirement; removal of the credit rating requirement; the tightening of concentration limits, including instrument-based, issuer-based, and counterparty concentration restrictions; and the revision of the acknowledgment letter requirement for investment in a money market mutual fund.
