The president of the General Council of the Judiciary and the director of the National Intelligence Center have signed a collaboration agreement on cybersecurity that aims to improve the detection and prevention of internet threats and attacks and to guarantee the protection of judicial public information.
Under the agreement, the National Cryptology Center will collaborate with the Judicial Documentation Center to promote computer security through the exchange of information, specialized training and carrying out technological projects. The aim of the foregoing being to guarantee the protection of public information offered by the Judicial Documentation Center and to protect the systems and networks that support them.
The agreement includes a provision that allows the General Council of the Judiciary to promote the development and use of computer security tools and specific products or programs proposed by the National Cryptology Center. It also establishes that, when both institutions carry out a project, the intellectual property will be shared by the General Council of the Judiciary and the Ministry of the Presidency.
