Scott Stoll is a partner and member of A&B’s Energy Group. He is a professional engineer as well as a lawyer, and his experience in the energy field totals over 20 years. Scott has extensive experience in the electricity and natural gas sector. He represents and advises a number of renewable power generators (water, wind, biogas, landfill gas, solar) as well as natural gas and combined heat and power generation clients. His advice focuses on regulatory issues, access to Crown land, IESO contracts (e.g. CES, CHP, FIT and microFIT), negotiating connection agreements and First Nation consultation.
Scott has represented many clients in regulatory proceedings for policy development, infrastructure approvals, rate orders, licensing and compliance matters. He has acted for a diverse range of clients and this has provided him with a unique understanding of the motivating factors and concerns for each segment of the industry, thereby enabling him to help clients successfully navigate through the regulatory regime.
