According to data released by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODFJS), Ohio's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December was 7.2 percent – a 0.2 percent drop from its November rate of 7.4 percent. The U.S. unemployment rate dropped from 7.0 percent in November to 6.7 percent in December, which is down from 7.9 percent in December 2012. The number of unemployed workers in Ohio decreased by 11,000 from 427,000 in November to 416,000 in December.
