On 2 June 2011 the Home Affairs Committee released a report criticising the lack of progress made by the UKBA in controlling immigration in the UK.  Chairman of the Committee,  The Rt Hon Keith Vaz stated that 'though progress has been made it is clear that the UKBA is still not fit for purpose'.
