On March 21, Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chairman and Senate Finance Committee member Ron Wyden (D-OR) announced he was examining broad energy tax reform policy that would make the tax code more equal for energy sources. In the 112th Congress, Sen. Wyden introduced a tax reform bill (S. 727) with Sen. Dan Coats (R-IN) and a bill to increase the investment tax credit to $40 million for storage systems and to $1 million for businesses and homes onsite storage projects (S. 1845).
