Lords Committee requests FCA views on predatory trading: The House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee has written to Martin Wheatley asking him whether predatory trading is a problem in FCA's opinion. The letter summarises an interview between the Committee and Brad Katsuyama, president and chief executive of the US equity trading venue IEX. Mr Katsuyama had expressed the view that trading venues are no longer neutral because they provide technology to high frequency traders and thereby create an unfair market. He also thought it would be hard to stop predatory trading but advocated better disclosure and transparency. (Source: Lords Committee Requests FCA Views on Predatory Trading)
