After Kentucky passed Senate Bill 4 in 2017, creating medical review panels to review claims of malpractice prior to those claims being filed in court, a case sprang up that immediately challenged the constitutionality of the law. That case, Claycomb v. Glisson, resulted in a finding at the district court that the review panels were unconstitutional. An order from the Court of Appeals allowed the panels to continue, but the case has now made its way to the Kentucky Supreme Court, which has set oral arguments for August 8th, 2018.
