The monitoring of implementation of Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI's) has begun by the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS) and IOSCO. The PFMI's, first introduced in April 2012, are international standards for payment, clearing and settlement systems and are designed to ensure that the infrastructure supporting global financial markets is robust to withstand financial shocks.

Results from the first assessment, which is currently underway, are due to be published in the third quarter of 2013.
