TI and other non-governmental organisations have written to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), asking it to make an official statement on its stance on the UK’s continued delay in implementing the Bribery Act. It wants OECD to force the UK to commit to an implementation deadline, which should be no later than June, and to ensure any guidance does not undermine the Act. It also wants assurance that there will be adequate enforcement mechanisms and that the Act should apply to all the UK’s overseas territories.
